Recommended Spider Killer Products:1. Spray a liquid insecticide concentrate such as, or around the perimeter of the building, and around windows and doors and other entry points. You can also spray inside along the baseboards and in the upper corners and bottom corners of walls. This is especially important in the garage and/or basement.2. For heavier infestations dusting with an insecticide dust such as may also be needed. Dust in attics and under baseboards and in wall voids.3. We also recommend using a to knock down spiders webs as you see them.
This will help discourage spiders from building webs in those areas. Spiders and Their BehaviorGenerally speaking spiders aren’t as troublesome as other pests in a day to day living environment. They usually only cause issues when there are large numbers of them or they intrude on your daily activities. Other than just being super freaky, one of the bigger threats they pose is biting you while you sleep, as they are usually nocturnal and will occasionally go out searching for food at night.Should they happen to come across a sleeping person they might feel threatened and bite, leaving that person with a painful red welt, or worse.
They are usually content to lay in wait for prey to come to them. This in and of itself can present a problem, as their webs are often an eyesore in the form of cobwebs, and reveal the fact that there is a not insignificant spider population in the house.

Spiders frighten some people. These eight-legged terrors are beneficial predators that are generally harmless and naturally control unwanted insects infesting your yard. Despite their benefits, you may consider spiders undesirable, and want to use sprays to get rid of them in your yard.

Chemicals and Spiders
Chemical control is difficult and will also kill other predatory insects that feed on the same bugs as spiders. This can cause an increase in the insects that predators used to control. Some commercial products are designed to keep spiders from entering your home. These products are called barrier sprays and -- when applied around your home’s foundation -- prevent spiders from crossing the residue left behind by the chemical. University of California's Integrated Pest Management Program notes that controlling spiders with pesticides is difficult because the chemical must come in contact with the spider and chemical residue doesn’t provide a lasting effect.
Chemical Control
Michigan State University Extension suggests that if you must use chemicals, use insecticides containing diazinon to control spiders outdoors. Pyrethrin, allethrin and resmethrin are a few other active ingredients in insecticides that can kill spiders both indoors and out. Tese products generally must be sprayed directly on the spider to kill it. University of Minnesota Extension suggests spraying a broad-spectrum insecticide on the exterior of buildings -- including in cracks, crevices and under siding -- as a last resort.
Cultural Control
To help drive spiders out of your yard, remove any items where spiders could build a web. Some species of spiders will create a home on dense vegetation, debris or leaf litter. By removing these items and keeping plant growth near the home neat and trim, you will discourage them from staying. Move outdoor lighting away from doorways and windows because the lights attract the tasty insects spiders feed on. Alternatively, replace white light bulbs with yellow bulbs that are designed not to attract bugs. Regularly removing spiderwebs from exterior structures -- such as garage and house siding -- will help encourage spiders to leave the area.
Other Options
Diatomaceous earth isn’t a liquid spray but it can help control unwanted pests, such as spiders, crawling in your yard. This soft, sedimentary rock contains the fossilized remains of phytoplankton, an aquatic organism. DE is crushed into a fine dust and sold as a nontoxic or organic option for pest control. As the spider crawls over the DE, the dust absorbs lipids from the spider’s exoskeleton, which results in dehydration and eventually death. DE isn’t harmful to people or animals but can cause throat and nose irritation if you inhale the dust. It can be used both indoors and outdoors to control an array of pests including spiders, cockroaches and earwigs.
